Materials Science & Technology (MS&T) is the ultimate experience in materials science and engineering gatherings. Organized by ASM International, the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), The American Welding Society (AWS), and The Minerals Metals and Materials Society (TMS), MS&T is the only event that truly spans the entire spectrum of materials science and engineering technologies.
Featured programming includes an entire session on nanoscale science and engineering organized by Bill Madia of Battelle. Dr. Madia is the recipient of the ASM/TMS Distinguished Lectureship for 2005 and he has assembled a marquee set of presenters to participate in his session. These presenters include:

These speakers will address nanoscale science from the perspective of the Executive Office, the venture capital community, and the government research community. This session is must attend session for anyone involved or interested in nanoscale science and engineering. Complimenting this session is another on Nanotechnology organized by William Mullins, C. Suryanarayana and Jeremy Burdon.

The Materials Applications for Homeland Security session, organized by Al Romig and T.J. Allard of Sandia National Labs, and Vinayak P. Dravid of Northwestern University is another must-attend session. Speakers include:

Each speaker brings a different perspective on the materials needs for homeland security ranging from local, to statewide, to national and international. This session is sure to provide useful information for researchers and commercial entities alike.

For a truly international perspective, the Science and Technology of Powder Metallurgy is the symposium for you. Organized by Leon Shaw, Eugene Al Olevsky, Fernand Marquis, Iver Anderson, and James Adair. Invited speakers representing a global perspective on Powder Metallurgy include:

Finally, the Materials for the Hydrogen Economy session organized by John Petrovic (Los Alamos National Lab), Iver E. Anderson (Iowa State University), Thad Matthew Adams (Westinghouse Savannah River Co), Gary Sandrock (SunaTech Inc), Colleen F. Legzdins (Ballard Power Systems), and Jeffrey W. Stevenson and Z. Gary Yang (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) will continue the excellent programming held on this topic over the last several years. Sessions are planned in the areas of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and fuel cells. Speakers already planning to participate include:
