Resolve Optics Ltd. has introduced a new specialist lens designed to provide uncompromised performance with large image format remote head cameras* used in applications including nuclear vision and astronomical star tracking.
Because of the requirement, in such applications, for the lens to be radiation-hard and also to cover a large image format - no standard lenses have been available to meet the demands of large image format cameras prior to the introduction of the 20mm fixed focus Non-Browning lens from Resolve Optics Ltd.

Pittsburgh, PA, USA -- KOBOLD's VKG product offers viscosity independent behavior for fluids in the range of 1-540 cSt (full compensation). This meter is intended for use in applications where changing viscosities of the measured media make flow determination difficult making KOBOLD's VKG an extremely versatile instrument usable in almost all possible applications.
Similar to the VKG product, KOBOLD's VKM also offers viscosity independent behavior of fluids in the range of 1-540 cSt. The VKM differs in that it's metal construction offers a higher pressure rating at 3600/5000 PSIG.

Crowthorne, UK -- Viscotek has announced the launch of OmniSEC 4.2- the latest revision of their market leading GPC/SEC integrated software package - designed to maximise the information and efficiency of multiple detector size separation experiments.
For low molecular weight polymer samples where dn/dc is not constant, it is now uniquely possible with OmniSEC 4.2 to create a calibration function that relates the dn/dc to the molecular weight for a given sample type. If variable dn/dc is enabled in the method, it is possible not only to see the corrected molecular weight values across the distribution, but also you can see the 'true' dn/dc across the sample.

Karlsruhe/Palmbach Germany -- D-510 series PISeca? capacitive displacement sensors by Physik Instrumente (PI), perform non-contact measurements of geometric quantities representing separation, position, length or other linear dimension against electrically conductive references such as metallic planes.
Due to a proprietary electrode design and linearization system in the signal conditioning electronics, these single-probe sensors combine superior resolution and linearity with very high bandwidth for dynamic measurements.
Standard systems come with measuring ranges from 15 to 500 ?m. Capacitive position gauges such as PISeca? are fundamentally very temperature stable and easy to work with.

Cambridge, UK & Natick MA, USA -- Moritex has announced the new NPI Series Quartz Rod Line illumination system.
Using proprietary internal reflection technology the NPI system generates an extremely uniform line of light making camera inspection of reflective surfaces routine and reproducible. In the NPI system light from a traditional cold light source (halogen lamp, metal halide lamp) is directed onto the end of a silvered quartz rod by means of a condensing lens.
The resultant emitted light is not only extremely even but also considerably brighter than that achievable using LED or Fibre optic lighting adapted with diffusers to achieve greater uniformity.
