FOR ECONOMICAL, HIGH PERFORMANCE, ULTRA LOW CURRENT AND RF PROBE CARDSCleveland, OH, USA -- Keithley Instruments, Inc. ( NYSE :KEI), a leader in solutions for emerging measurement needs, announces it has partnered with Mesatronic Group (Voiron, France) to develop advanced probe cards for semiconductor parametric testers used in RF and low current DC applications.
William Merkel, Marketing Director for the Keithley Parametric Test Product Group, said, ?When the new probe cards are available later this year, they can be used with Keithley parametric testers for simultaneous extraction of RF and very low level DC current parameters on any combination of probe pins that contact a semiconductor wafer.?
The probes for these cards will also be suitable for the smaller 30-micron test pads toward which the industry is migrating. Currently, performing simultaneous low current DC and RF measurements is complicated by the fact that existing cards have only a few dedicated RF probe pins, and they cannot be used for accurate low current DC measurements.

Users have traditionally preferred vortex technology in saturated steam applications due to its reliability and wide rangeability. However, users also desire a compensated mass flow output. By incorporating multivariable technology, Emerson can deliver all the benefits of proven Rosemount vortex technology and a temperature compensated mass flow output directly from the meter, reducing process variability.
Traditional multivariable vortex designs integrate the vortex and temperature sensor into the same assembly. This requires process shutdown for verification or replacement and requires extensive spare part inventory.

The VRF? (Variable Radio Frequency) Series
Spartanburg SC, USA -- The VRF? Series uses Variable Radio Frequency to detect the presence or absence of material in a vessel by compensating for the load of the probe, as well as the load induced by vessel environment, and automatically determining the optimal operating frequency for the greatest sensitivity and stability. At initial start-up the sensor detects the characteristics of air (no load), and calibrates to it. If installed in material, when the load is reduced (material leaves probe), the VRF? senses this change and automatically recalibrates to its new condition without the need of an operator or technician.
The VRF? Series also features Bindicator?s EZ-CAL? II function which rapidly recalibrates the sensor during recalibration situations.
The VRF? Series is available in two models, the VRF-2000 which offers visible lights that alert the operator of calibration and alarm status. The VRF-1000 offers all the breakthrough capabilities of the VRF-2000, but can be used where visible recalibration and alarm lights are not needed.
