Applications : A Simple 1-Wire® DAC

(DS2408 outputs P4 to P7 are not used.)Abstract: Connecting the outputs of a 1-Wire addressable switch (DS2408) to a resistor network allows the 1-Wire interface to control a simple DAC. This idea is illustrated by the presentation of an LED-brightness controller.

Among devices available with a 1-Wire interface, the best known are memories, temperature sensors, battery monitors, and addressable switches. One-Wire ADCs are also available, but no 1-Wire DACs. You can, however, build a simple 1-Wire DAC using addressable switches.

Binyamina, Israel – Hermon Laboratories TI, a world-leading expert in compliance testing in telecom, today announces TCA 4100 from Hermon Laboratories TI test equipment for telecom and acoustic testing for wireless handsets (GSM and UMTS). TCA 4100 controls and measures the tests according to acoustic standards (TS 51.010-1, TS 26.131/2). All tests comply with the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and Personal Communication System Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB) approvals specifications and validated by an independent test house.
GCF/PTCRB-approved test platforms customers can create test reports for measurements according to 3GPP TS 26 131 and TS 51.010 which include a statement that the test results have been achieved on a GCF/PTCRB-approved test platform.
The acoustic transmission and replay quality of user equipment is its most important characteristic in everyday use. With their easy to use software, we add other features that help customers test with their TCA 4100.
