New Products : The Operator’s Console Recorder
Longwatch's NEW product records exactly what was on HMI screens when an event occurred, archives it, and plays the video back for training or analysis purposes
Norwood MA, USA -— Longwatch announces the Operator’s Console Recorder, a software module that automatically records images being shown on multiple HMI or SCADA operator’s displays. The module takes its signals directly from each HMI screen’s video software driver, so it records the actual video being sent to the HMI. The software can accommodate video signals from an unlimited number of HMIs to show what operators were watching at the time of an event, alarm or process upset.
Video images can be combined with the automatic data mapping capability of Longwatch’s Video Historian, so the Console Recorder can automatically retrieve and replay operator displays simply by clicking on a time-based alarm or system message.
Playing back what the operator was seeing at the time of an event can be a valuable tool for training and analysis purposes, and can help mitigate insurance and regulatory issues by eliminating guesswork and conjecture.
Videos used for monitoring plant activities can also be combined with the operator console videos and data from a process historian. This enables engineers, analysts or investigators to see what was happening in the plant, what the operator was seeing on the HMI screen at the time, and all relevant real-time data that occurred at the time of an event.

Vendor : Contract with Sinovel for measurements for three turbines
GL signed Contract with Sinovel
Shanghai, China - Germanischer Lloyd (GL) has signed a contract on wind turbine measurements with Chinese SINOVEL Wind Co., Ltd. Services include load, power performance and power quality as well as acoustic noise measurements. The agreement comprises measurements for three Sinovel turbines: SL1500/82, SL3000/100 and SL3000/90 (on- and offshore). Last-named is, for example, erected in the Shanghai East Sea Bridge's 100MW Offshore Wind Farm - China's first national offshore wind power demonstrating project.

After Completing 150th TET TrialMPHILADELPHIA PA, USA -- - ERT has celebrated a significant milestone by completing its 150th Thorough QT clinical trial (TET).
ERT provides full TET support to the biopharmaceutical industry, including consultation, study design and provision of ECG equipment to ECG analysis, data processing, management, reconciliation, reporting, quality control and regulatory support.
Cardiac safety concerns continue to be the primary reason for drugs being refused licenses or to carry restricted labeling and in the worst cases withdrawn from market completely.
As a result, all new drugs are expected to undergo electrocardiographic testing (ECG) in the clinical development process and with the advent of the ICH E14 Guidance, a TET study is required for most drugs where more robust and rigorous ECG testing is performed.
