New Products : Self-Expiring Visitor Badges

newproducts Now compatible with color Inkjet Printers

Farmington CT, USA — Now visitor management systems can print self-expiring visitor badges on color inkjet printers, thanks to a new product that Data Management, Inc., has added to its line of Visitor Pass Solutions.

Self-expiring visitor badges, which change color overnight so they can’t be reused, have long been available for direct thermal printers. But these print only in black and white, including visitors’ photographs.

“Now users of visitor management systems can benefit from both the added security of expiring badges, as well as the improvement in quality afforded by full-color inkjet printers,” says Noel Turner, Data Management’s VP of Sales.

In addition to having more identifiable photographs, badges printed on ink-jet printers can be beautifully customized with a facility’s logo and color-coded for better access control, according to Data Management’s VP of Product Development, Richard Reed.

New Products : RUGGIZED LVDT LINEAR POSITION SENSORS DESIGNED FOR STEAM TURBINE VALVE CONTROL

newproducts More Than Rugged - Extremely Rugged LVDTs
MOORESTOWN NJ, USA -- The Alliance Sensors Group PG Series LVDT linear position sensors are designed and engineered specifically for valve position sensing applications for steam turbine control systems in electric power generation plants.

Previously, the LVDTs used in the power generation industry were either designed by OEMs over 40 years ago, or are catalog LVDTs slightly modified for operation in a steam turbine environment.

Over many years of using of these older products, inherent design flaws have come to light, notably the fact that the LVDT's core would break off of its operating rod under typical turbine vibrations.
