PLYMOUTH MI, USA --( BUSINESS WIRE)--Interactive Frontiers, Inc., a leader in the development of sports training software and creator of the V1 Pro Digital Coaching System, introduced the V1-8CAM at the grand opening of Cool Clubs, a custom club and putter fitting center located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Cool Clubs founder Mark Timms selected Interactive Frontiers to develop the V1-8CAM for his state-of-the-art club fitting centers. The V1-8CAM simultaneously captures eight angles of video streams allowing Cool Club fitters to more precisely evaluate performance and determine optimal club and putter specifications for clients.
“The V1-8CAM allows us to see all relevant angles of our clients’ putting strokes so we can accurately match each person’s putting style with the most advantageous putter measurements,” said Timms.
Interactive Frontiers built the V1-8CAM using the Dell Precision 490 workstation, the newest generation of Dell workstations, and is powered by Intel™ Quad Core Technology, using four processors in one computer. The company is also introducing a less expensive V1-4CAM for club fitters, golf instructors and golf academies seeking up to a 4-camera streaming video capture.

Kenley, UK -- Optical Surfaces Ltd. announces that it has delivered, to a leading Japanese manufacturer of analytical and measuring technology, a pair of matching ultra-smooth off-axis parabola supplied in rigid mounts specially designed for the customer.
The mirrors will be critical beam focusing components in a demanding application that also requires fine translational control of the mirrors in multiple axes.
While manufactured as two separate stand-alone mirrors of 225mm diameter, 1800mm focal length a close matching tolerance was achieved. Using proprietary production techniques, Optical Surfaces Ltd skilled craftsmen were able to produce the required ultra-smooth matching parabolic mirrors with a surface accuracy of lambda/20 p-v, slope errors of only lambda/18 per cm and excellent surface quality of 20:10 scratch/dig.
