Lelystad, The Netherlands & McMurray PA, USA -- Designed to seal sample storage tubes in the 96-well format, the Micronic capping system offers biobanks and biorepositories the ability to securely cap a single tube, a row of tubes or to apply 96 caps in a single action. With the launch of the new orange Capcluster, caps are now available in 13 different colours, providing a simple, yet effective means of visually differentiating stored samples by person, project or even by the type of sample submitted (blood, urine, plasma etc.).
Available for use with a wide range of tube volumes (0.50 ml, 0.75 ml, 1.10 ml, 1.40 ml, and 2.50 ml), Micronic Capcluster caps are made of a USP Class VI certified thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) that acts as an excellent vapour barrier for both water and DMSO.

New Product Supports Data Acquisition from up to 64 Silicon Photomultiplier Channels

New Products : Micro-Machining Performance Evaluation With New Smaller Machine Tool Analyzer
St. Paul MN, USA -- For more than ten years, the industry standard Spindle Error Analyzer (SEA) from Lion Precision has been measuring machine-tool spindle thermal growth and error motions in multiple axes. It has now been adapted for micro-machining. The micro-machining system uses smaller versions of the noncontact probes, probe mounts, and masterball targets, along with standard SEA software, to perform ANSI and ISO standard tests of spindle performance.
This micro-machining adaptation of a standard instrument is a major step in helping the micro-machining industry get to the next level.
