Our comprehensive Stamps In Class curriculum is designed to introduce students and educators to BASIC Stamp microcontrollers using software basics and simple hardware, integrating the two without a tremendous investment (the curriculum is free and Parallax has educational prices for the hardware). Winters Email Service for Gauge Calibration Reminders

Foxboro Measurements and Instruments web pages list a number of Oil, Gas and other industrial specialtiy applications stories available for download in pdf format. One must supply an email address and then register with name and other contact information in order to gain access to them, however. While this is something of a nusiance, it is something probably worthwhile for serious information seekers.

While this is not quite in the open spirit of most of the Web obviously Foxboro thinks otherwise. Many other industrial companies act similarly, for ill-defined reasons.

We believe that an email address and a user name is more than adequate for reducing spammer inputs. But for downloads? Even an email address requirement to access openly available literature is a poorly concealed defense against competitive spying.

Heavens, the true competitors already have your info, guys; if not they'll get it anyway they can. The oft heard excuse of some marketing and sales staffs, that this is a way to collect leads, is even less defensible.

True seekers welcome open access.

As a general rule, we do not provide links to such web pages, but there's enough there and Foxboro is an old and recognised organization, that we'll make an exception and spell out our policy for them and our users. We'll add this to our FAQs pages, too!

The control center can send a call to the tag. When the tag receives the signal, the LED on the tags will flash. The long reading distance 80~100 meters is help for when some accident happens.
